Mac OS X 10.3.7 internet connection delays

Other

Could Zeldman’s 10.3.7 “safe upgrade process” have something to do with the delays I’ve experienced when connecting to sites and servers over wifi? At least they seem to suggest I’m not the only one to experience this.

I’ve had no problems when using a network cable. I noticed a traceroute to gems.rubyforge.org took a whopping 5 minutes to produce its output, compared to just a few seconds on a cable. Has anyone had similar experiences after upgrading?
