Six million Americans now using RSS aggregators

... according to this BBC News article, which also claims that there are 120 million US adults who use the internet. That would mean that 6 million represents 5% of all web users, who chose to install an RSS reader in addition to their browser and email client. Maybe it’s the same people who install Firefox?

However, the survey also says 7% of web users have their own blog. So it’s probably fair to assume that a large share of them also use RSS readers.

Anyway, it’s good to see these numbers grow, to see that people are willing to adopt tools more relevant to a given job than browsers and email clients.
