Why I'm having lamb for lunch
Sunday night when we got home from a weekend on a farm, Caroline opened the kitchen drawer, and a moth flew out.
So I decided it was time to clean out that drawer, to make sure there weren't any moth nests any there.
While cleaning and throwing things out that had gone bad, I discovered i bag of chick peas, which reminded me that I love hummus, and I haven't made it in a long time. I decided I would make it again and threw the entire contents of the bag in a bowl of water to sit overnight.
Before going to sleep, I thought about what we were going to have for dinner on Monday night, and I figured what would go with the hummus, and decided that lamb was better than cow. So I pulled a leg of lamb out the freezer to thaw overnight.
And that, my friends, is why I'm having lamb for lunch now.
All because of a moth.
If only it knew...
Well, I guess it's dead now.
