DR launched branded wikipedia site

DR has launched a DR-branded wikipedia site about sports.

It’s interesting to see DR experiment with wikis, in particular helping the Danish language Wikipedia site get more attention, but I’m not sure what’s gained by integrating and skinning wikipedia into the DR site, other than making the navigation even more confusing. The links back to the front page don’t work, but I’m sure they’ll fix that quickly (and then proceed to take off the beta label).

Overall, though, a big thumbs-up for initiative.

Thank you for the mentioning our project. :-) There are several reasons for launching the DR SportsWiki. We hope to turn some of our readers into contributors, thus changing the way we interact with our audience. The Beta-aspect doesn't just cover fixing links, etc. To DR this is a new way of letting users take part. This isen't something we just do - and get right the first time around. It's a learning process. Therefore the "beta-tag". Of course we also hope to raise the quality of the da.wikipedia by helping to attract more "editors" for the Danish Wikipedia. To DR the project is only a success if we manage to reach this goal. I believe we have solved the link-problem, but let me know if you spot more errors.
