The commoditization of software
Tim O’Reilly: Software licenses don’t work. Software is becoming a commodity, and the value is moving up the stack to data, as in Ebay, Amazon and Google.
Pretty much what he said at Reboot, but still a very interesting rehash.
Interesting to see what the DELL of the software industry is going to look like. The build-to-order shop utilizing commodity parts.
