Passive-aggressive unsubscribe clause
I once considered going to a Tony Robbins UPW event with a friend. I ended up not going, but I still get the benefit of having been put on their email list, without asking for it. The latest email showed up yesterday with a link to some free Keith Cunningham webinar recording, which, of course, is just marketing for an event coming up at the end of January.
There's an unsubscribe link in the bottom of the email, but not before giving this odd and slightly whiny warning:
If you no longer wish to hear from us or receive strategies for improving your life and business, we would really regret.
Ah, so this is about your feelings now, is it?
How often do you take time out to think about your life and business and how often do you hear it from the local and international experts? That's what we are trying to help you with. But, if you persist, we understand. Just unsubscribe by clicking the link below.
We're only trying to help you, how can you be so mean as to unsubscribe?
Be aware you will also not receive any free videos, invitations, valuable content and articles anymore!
It could just be me, but I don't recall any non-sales content from these guys in the 2-plus years I've been on that list.
We sincerely hope our paths cross again. Until then, live fully and make a difference TODAY!
