There's no right way to lead

Another quote from Seth Godin’s Tribes, where he talks about Meghan McDonald (who seems to be from his own home town of New Rochelle):

She doesn’t lead the way other people lead. And that’s fine, because there isn’t a right technique, a proven tactic, a right way and a wrong way. Deciding to lead, not manage, is the critical choice.

Meghan connects and inspires. She doesn’t manage.

Reading this reminded me of my experience meeting Tony Hsieh from Zappos. He is so quiet and soft-spoken, I had no idea it was possible to be this way and be the CEO of a billion-dollar company. But it is. There is no right way and wrong way to lead.
