Addictions

The great thing about quitting addictions is that you get to learn your true underlying needs.

When you reach for that coffee or sugar or cigarette or drink, that's not what you truly need. That's just the band-aid.

Maybe you need rest. Maybe you need to center. A piece of fruit and some cottage cheese. Maybe you need to take a few deep breaths. Maybe you need self-love. Maybe you need a hug or to connect with a loved one. Or just with a colleague. Maybe you need five minutes to yourself.

Could be many things. It's probably different from situation to situation. You're going to have to find that out for yourself.

What I can tell you is, it's not the caffeine or sugar or nicotine or alcohol.
