This effect is actually astoundingly easy to achieve in Photoshop. Here is a <a href="http://recedinghairline.co.uk/tutorials/fakemodel/" target="_blank">tutorial</a> - however, the effect there is overdone in my opinion. Fade it down by 25-50% and you'll end up with something persuasive :)
